💡 Do NOT use ohmmeter on Active (Hall-effect) 2-wire sensors; use diode test mode.
Fault Symptoms
- •ABS and Traction Control warning lights stay on continuously
- •Pulsing brake pedal feel during gentle low-speed braking
- •Speedometer needle fluctuating or reading zero (in 2-wheelers)
- •Hill-hold assist and Cruise Control disabled

Probable Causes

- •Metal shavings/iron dust stuck on magnetic sensor tip
- •ABS module connector corroded

Step-by-Step Repair Guide
- 1.1. Remove wheel; clean metal shavings and dirt off ABS sensor tip.
- 2.2. Inspect magnetic tone ring on wheel bearing with magnetic detector card.
- 3.3. Measure 2-wire active sensor: Turn ignition ON; verify 11V - 12V supply voltage on Pin 1.
- 4.4. Spin wheel by hand; measure current switching between 7mA (low) and 14mA (high) or AC voltage pulse.
- 5.5. Reset ABS fault codes with VahanScan and test drive above 20 km/h.
