- CAN-High: 2.5V – 3.5V (Avg 2.7V) | CAN-Low: 1.5V – 2.5V (Avg 2.3V)
- Ground Pin Continuity
- ECU Power Ground to Chassis (< 0.2 Ω)
- Coil / Heater Resistance
- CAN Bus Termination: 60 Ω across OBD-II Pin 6 & Pin 14
💡 If CAN resistance reads 120 Ω, one terminating resistor / module is disconnected.
Fault Symptoms
- •Total vehicle no-crank / no-start condition

Probable Causes
- •Main ECU power relay (Main Relay) blown or corroded pins
- •Main engine fuse (15A/30A EFI Fuse) blown
- •CAN-High or CAN-Low wiring shorted to ground or severed in harness
- •ECU main connector water damaged or ECU internal microprocessor fault

Step-by-Step Repair Guide
- 1.1. Check main 15A/30A ECM fuse and test Main Relay with 12V bench tester.
- 2.2. Multimeter 20V DC: Verify 12V on ECM power pins and key-switch ignition wire.
- 3.3. Measure ECM ground pins — must be strictly < 0.2 Ω to negative battery post.
- 4.4. Measure OBD port Pins 6 (CAN-H) & 14 (CAN-L): Resistance must be ~60 Ω with battery disconnected.
- 5.5. Inspect wiring harness near battery tray and steering column for rodent bites.
